Paul Petrov was always mezmerised and inspired by music when he was growing up, listening to his dad’s Beatles vinyls and trying to understand the idea of the songs and how would he use this while playing his songs. He started his first band when he was 16 and this is how it all began.
Paul started playing guitar when he was 12 and by age of 16 he was into classic rock bands such as Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Pink Floyd, followed by modern inspirations from Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Offspring, Prodigy, Metallica and Green Day.
When he was in the band (Airbag) he became more interested in BritPop and while playing their own songs they covered the best songs of Oasis, Blur, Radiohead, Coldplay, Muse, Stereophonics and Arctic Monkeys. They played at all types of venues from local colleges to national music festivals in Moldova from 1999 to 2004.
In 2005, Paul was relocated to Bulgaria where he played for two years in an Irish Pub with the whole spectrum of styles, combining Irish traditional music, classical acoustic rock songs and top chart songs.
In 2011, he moved to west coast of Scotland where he started playing acoustic sets and full PA, covering all popular hits of that time and achieved great support from all over Argyll towns and villages.
In 2016, he moved to Birmingham and continued to perform Acoustic Sessions. He is running few music projects at the moment with co-writers and management Julie-Anne St Claire Jones and Alexander Mars and always interested in starting new projects to continue with his original material.
